Workshop Description

Are you tired of those boring, traditional fabric bags? In this beginner-friendly sewing workshop, we’re breaking the mold. We are going to create a trout-shaped baguette storage bag using scrap fabric, fusing a sleek silhouette with a fun, rustic, and functional twist.

Whether you're dreaming of the riverside or just want to keep your bread fresh in style, this "catch of the day" is the perfect way to master the basics of upcycling. No more grandma bags, just mountain vibes and fresh crusty bread.

What you’ll learn:

• Creative Sewing: Get comfortable with the machine and bring your fish to life.
• Upcycling with Edge: Turn fabric scraps into something unique, durable, and sustainable.
• Functional Design: Learn how to construct a bag that’s the perfect size and shape to keep your baguettes fresh and stylish.

Participants must be 14 or older to attend. You do not need to have previous knowledge to make this project. Participants will share some materials and tools.

• This class is taught as a bilingual class in both English y Español

¿Cansado de las típicas bolsas de tela aburridas? En este taller de costura para principiantes vamos a romper el molde. Crearemos un “guardapan” con forma de trucha usando retazos de tela, fusionando una silueta moderna con un toque rústico, divertido y súper funcional.

Ya sea que ames la vida de río o simplemente quieras guardar tu pan con estilo, esta "pesca del día" es la forma perfecta de aprender a reciclar telas con onda. Olvida las bolsas de siempre: dale a tu cocina un aire de montaña y mantén tus baguettes frescas.

¿Qué vas a aprender?

• Costura Creativa: Pierde el miedo a la máquina y dale forma a tus ideas.
• Upcycling con Onda: Aprovecha retazos de tela para crear algo único y sostenible.
• Diseño Funcional: Crea una bolsa resistente y con el tamaño perfecto para guardar tus baguettes.

Los participantes deben ser mayores de 14 años para asistir. No necesitas conocimientos previos para realizar este proyecto. Los participantes compartirán materiales y herramientas.
